This lovely artwork represents the revival of a three hundred year old French handy craft called Vue D'Optique. A dramatic three demensional effect results when many pieces of hand-cut paper are superimposed on one another. This type of craft first appeared in the United States as hand-cut Valentines. This piece is painstakingly hand made, ensuring its collectibility for years to come. The theme of this one is the South Pacific--with peaceful lagoon, islands, palm trees in the wind, jumping dolphin, and a peek under sea of a sea turtle and colorful coral and fish. Size: 9" wide X 12" high.
